I’m getting this posted as a push to actually get this blog up after nearly 3 years of planning it. I originally wanted to do this in part because I want to work on writing things down without over-editing, which I have not been successful at until this post. There’s also a number of things that I’ve been anticipating for a few years that I’ve been really eager to try to explain clearly. I’ve written numerous blog posts that I opted not to post over the years and I’ve rewritten a couple posts on harder topics multiple times.
Even if noone sees this, it should help me work on making more accessible writing more quickly.
I lost track of what iteration it was, but I have a multi-part blog post entitled The Collapse of Complexity that covers a number of interesting topics that are the key reasons I wanted to start this. I think this iteration finally made a lot of sense, but it relies on some speculation that I intended to actually write the code for anyway. I’m therefore holding off on finishing until I open source the code that will leverage it and have concrete examples. I look forward to finally wrapping that up and sharing how far we’ve come and what we could do before, but is even easier now.
I do a lot of development professionally and in my spare time so I’m going to write about some of the projects I’m currently working on, one of them being Omny CMS, as well as projects I’ve done in the past, and my approaches to building scalable and price performant software and how that’s evolved over time.
